5 Movies For Kids This Summer

Summertime is a fun time for kids. There are many ways parents can make use of the time to bond well with the kids. Watching movies with them, that to their favorite ones would surely make the whole summer vacation memorable for both.

Here is a list of movies releasing this summer.

1) Angry Birds

Based on the video game, it is the story of Red, Chuck, and Bomb who live in their bird island paradise but are always treated as outsiders. But the arrival of the green pigs turns the plot. The three birds team up to find out the real intentions of the mysterious visitors to the island.

Apart from the story-line, it has visual appeal to enthrall the kids.

2) Alice- Through the Looking Glass

This is based on the old classic Alice in Wonderland with a new story and a fresh look and feel. Alice returns to Wonderland to save the Mad Hatter from Time. For this, she goes back in time itself. Alice and her fantasy land would surely take the kids for a fun ride.

3) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows

A science fiction action comedy based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles character. The Turtles enter into conflict with a scientist and their common enemy. Shredder, the leading antagonist, hires Stockman to make his mutants. All this and invasion on New York City force them to join in the fight with Splinter and their human friends. A must watch for the ninja fans.

4) Finding Dory

It is an interesting journey of a fish Dory to find her fish family. She is forgetful and is accompanied by her friends Marlin and Nemo in this adventurous journey. A sequel to Finding Nemo, this movie is sure to entertain kids especially the animal lovers.

Releasing on 17th June 2016

5) The BFG

A live-action film, it is the story of a little girl, Sophie, who is snatched from her orphanage by the Big Friendly Giant (BFG). Then she comes to know that BFG is an outcast because he refuses to eat kids, very much unlike other giants. How the two team up to take on the mean monsters is the real crux of the movie. An adventurous journey all through to keep the kids on their toes.

Age-group: 4 and above

Releasing on 1st July 2016
